BILLIONAIRE hedge fund manager Leon Cooperman has secured a stake in Manchester United after buying 1million shares for $17m (£13.5m).
The news of the 80-year-old’s investment comes with the announcement for Jim Ratcliffe’s deal for 25% of the club expected within days. Cooperman has with a net worth of over £2bn.
Elsewhere, United have been handed a major boost in the hunt for Kylian Mbappe.
