THE year 2024 is coming to an end in a few hours and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is helping fans celebrate the new year – and a Sabrina Carpenter lyric change had fans doing double-takes.
During her performance of Nonsense, known for her crafty outros, Sabrina sang an especially NSFW version this evening.
She swapped the lyrics to: “Balls are dropping everywhere at midnight.”
One person on X, formerly Twitter, reacted, writing: “What did sabrina carpenter just say?!”
“sabrina carpenter talking about d**k and balls at new year’s rockin eve in front of everyone’s family… what a lyricist,” said another.
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest will be broadcast on ABC starting at 8 pm ET and is scheduled to continue through 2 am ET.
