TV’S biggest night is finally here.
The first two awards of the night went to Ayo Edebiri for best supporting actress in a comedy for her performance in The Bear and Quinta Brunson for best lead actress in a comedy for her performance in Abbott Elementary.
Quinta took to the stage in tears after legend Carol Burnett presented her with the award.
“I’m so emotional… the Carol Burnett of it all,” the actress said while sobbing.
Anthony Anderson is hosting tonight’s ceremony, broadcast live on Fox, after it was delayed for nearly five months due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
The host warned all of the nominees that his mom, Doris Hancox, is ready to interrupt all acceptance speeches from her seat in the audience if they go over their allotted times.
Doris did just that during Jennifer Coolidge’s speech after she won best supporting actress in a drama for her performance in The White Lotus.
