What’s on at the Olympics today?

Josh Tarling and Anna Henderson are both in road cycling time trial action along the streets of Paris (from 1.30pm), leading today’s Brit medal hopes.

Michael Bargeron and Seonaid McIntosh team up in the 10m mixed shooting trying to win the first gold of the 2024 Games (10am). 

In diving, 3m synchro pair Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen could medal (10am).

And Team GB expect a medal from their swimmers in both of the 4x100m freestyle relays (8.30pm).

Brits to watch

Three-time Olympic gold medallist Adam Peaty begins his quest for 100m breaststroke glory (heat 10.30am, semi-final 8.15pm). 

Max Whitlock is eyeing a pommel horse medal for a fourth Games in a row as gymnastics qualifying gets underway (10am). 

The men’s hockey team face Spain (9am) and the equestrian eventing team start their defence of Tokyo gold (from 8.30am). 

Global stars to watch

French superstar Antoine Dupont skipped the Six Nations and can lead his country to rugby sevens gold tonight (6.45pm) if France win their semi-final against South Africa (2.30pm). 

Outspoken US swimmer Katie Ledecky, Aussie Ariane Titmus and 17-year-old Canadian world-record holder Summer McIntosh will all dream of women’s 400m freestyle gold in the pool (7.55pm). 

And the all-star duo of Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz begin their incredible pursuit of tennis doubles gold for Spain (6pm).   

Fancy something different?

The men’s street final promises plenty of thrill and excitement (4pm) as skateboarding returns following its debut in Tokyo.

How to watch the Paris 2024 Olympics

BBC One and Two will air the biggest events from the 33rd Olympic Games and will provide an Olympics Extra channel available on iPlayer, Red Button and online.

However, the BBC can only show two events happening at any moment live at the same time due to discovery+ being the main European rights holder.

In the US, you can watch the Paris Olympics on NBC and the USA Network.
