EVERY week Strictly says goodbye to another celebrity and their pro partner, as they waltz off the show for good.

After taking part in the dreaded dance off, it is then up to the judges to vote for who will be axed next.

Montell Douglas became the latest celebrity to leave Strictly, after finding herself in the dance off.

The Gladiators star was given her marching orders alongside pro partner Johannes Radebe.

After her fate was declared by the judges, Montell said: “[Johannes] has been amazing.

“Strictly has touched me in ways I never knew possible. I’m an Olympian and a Gladiator, but I have honestly struggled with confidence my whole life and being on the show, with the beautiful crew, the judges, the cast has just been such an honour.”

Her pro partner Johannes also praised her partnership with the Team GB star.He said: “I am so proud of you, because you are a non-dancer. But the one thing that you have done every single week is turn out beautiful dancing.

“So I want to say to you, thank you for respecting our art form of Ballroom and Latin. The way you handled it was like a true pro. You’re my winner.”

“I have to say thank you to you because I really have found a friend and a brother in this man,” Montell added of Johannes.

The dance off

Montell and Johannes found themselves in the dance-off with long-standing favourites Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec.

Both had to re-dance their routines again, so the judges could decide who to send home.

Montell and Johannes performed a Rumba to I’m Here from the musical The Color Purple, while Tasha and Aljaž performed their Argentine Tango to Ex-Wives from Six.

The judges then unanimously decided to save Tasha and Aljaž.
