A MIGRANT groped a woman in a random sex attack after dodging immigration officers for three years.

Babu Mariyadasan, 48, overstayed his tourist visa granted in 2019 after coming over from India.

He was on immigration bail and had avoided the Home Office for three years when he groped the woman’s breast in East Ham, East London.

The victim, who cannot be named, said: “It was disgusting.

“It was shocking. It was traumatising.

“When I asked him to stop, he started shouting at me.

“He started to scream at me.

“Before, I described myself as a confident person.

“I no longer walk around when it is dark.”

Mariyadasan, who does not speak English, denied sexual assault but was last month convicted and got five months in jail.

Prosecutor Pamela Muniya told London’s Snaresbrook crown court it was likely he will be detained and deported.
