He rejected the move.
Roma director Mauro Baldissoni has confirmed the Italian giants failed in a deadline day move for Jack Wilshere – because the midfielder didn’t want to leave the Premier League.
The 24-year-old received as many as 22 offers after it became apparent that he was set to leave Arsenal on loan this season.
Wilshere’s been plagued with injuries during the last four years and many felt a move abroad would have suited the midfielder’s playing style.
However, the England international didn’t want to leave the Premier League and Baldissoni has confirmed the Serie A giants missed out in favour of Bournemouth.
