A swimming pool’s worth of beer is flowing at Victoria Baths this weekend as Indy Man Beer Con takes over the splendid space again.

The craft beer festival is back for its fifth year, showcasing more independent breweries and their ales than ever before.

Put together by the team behind Manchester bars Common, Port Street Beer House and The Beagle in Chorlton, the event has grown alongside the city’s insatiable thirst for craft beer and real ale.

Thousands of visitors are expected across the four-day festival, which kicked off on Thursday and continues tomorrow.

Drinkers have been supping everything from Manchester’s own Marble, Runaway, Track and Squawk beers, to others from further afield including To Øl, from Denmark, Lervig, from Norway, and many more.

Festival goers will be well fed too, with burgers from Almost Famous, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza from Honest Crust, Indian street snacks from incoming Manchester restaurant and bar Bundobust, and plenty more food to soak up all that booze.
