Faye Eid found out she had cancer by accident.

Following a surgery to remove a 12cm cyst on her ovary, Faye was on track to recovery – after a year of feeling awful.

She received a call from a cancer care coordinator, looking to book her in for her first oncology appointment.

It turned out that what doctors thought was a cyst was actually stage 1 ovarian cancer. The cancer care coordinator assumed the doctor had already chatted with Faye. They hadn’t.

The couple first met in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and started talking when, upon returning to Australia, Jarred found Faye online and sparked up a conversation.
