The statement said: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess
of Cambridge are very pleased to announced that The Duchess of
Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and
members of both families are delighted with the
news.”
“As with her previous pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from
Hyperemesis Gravidarum.”
“Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned
engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London
today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington
Palace.”
Does Lewis Hamilton have any friends left in
F1? Is Hamilton still the fans’ favourite at
Silverstone?
Hyperemesis Gravidarum is the medical term for severe morning
sickness. It affects 3.5 per 1,000 pregnant women and can
cause women to vomit blood.
The Duchess of Cambridge was in the early stages of her
pregnancy with Prince George “when she was addmitted to hospital in
December 2012 with hyperemesis gravidarum, a rare condition which
causes severe vomiting during pregnancy,” says the Daily Mirror.
“Awareness of her tendency to the condition meant her second
pregnancy was announced relatively early, rather than waiting for
the 12 week milestone, as she cancelled public duties due to
sickness.”
It’s not known when the new royal baby is expected to be
born.
