The Spurs chief’s new contract expires in 2023 and is worth
£8.5m per season – making him “one of the best paid managers in the
Premier League”. Coaching staff Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino and
Toni Jimenez have also signed new deals with Tottenham.

Now he has his future sorted, Pochettino will look to improve
the Spurs squad and has “requested £100m to sign fresh talent”.
Among his list of targets, says the Mail, are Manchester United’s Anthony Martial,
Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha and Fulham teenage sensation
Ryan Sessegnon. 

The Daily Mirror adds that Pochettino is also
stepping up plans to land Ajax’s 18-year-old defender Matthijs de
Ligt. 

Meanwhile, ESPN says Spurs will listen to offers for Danny
Rose, Mousa Dembele and Fernando Llorente.

Chelsea plan Morata-Icardi swap

According to sources in Italy and Spain, Chelsea want to sign
Inter striker Mauro Icardi and will offer Alvaro Morata and €40m
(£35m) in exchange. Icardi, who has also been linked with
Manchester United, was joint top scorer this season in Serie A with
29 goals but missed out on selection to Argentina’s World Cup squad. (ESPN via Football Italia)

Nabil Fekir: Lyon to Liverpool

Liverpool have “stepped up their pursuit” of Lyon captain Nabil
Fekir. The 24-year-old is valued at £61m and has earned a call-up
to France’s World Cup squad. Fekir can play as an attacking

Can: Liverpool to Juventus

Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta is expecting Emre Can
to sign for the club “within ten days”. Midfielder Can is soon out
of contract at Liverpool and will be available on a free transfer.

for Jorginho. The Italy midfielder has been a long-term target for

Pellegrini begins Hammers overhaul

One of the busiest managers this summer could be West Ham
United’s new boss Manuel Pellegrini. He has begun a “wholesale
clear-out of players and backroom staff” and wants to bring in
“seven new signings”. Former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure,
35, and Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Cabellero, 36, are reported
