Kevin Crehan has died in prison in Bristol
Kevin Crehan was jailed in July after he attacked Jamia mosque in Totterdown, Bristol, along with three others in January this year.
Bacon was thrown at the mosque and a St George’s flag was propped up outside along with the slogan, ‘No more refugees’.

Worshippers visiting the mosque were also verbally attacked in the incident.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: “HMP Bristol prisoner Kevin Crehan died in custody on Tuesday 27 December.
“As with all deaths in custody, the independent Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will investigate.”

No further details have been released at this time.
Crehan, along with accomplices Mark Bennett, 48, Alison Bennett, 46, and Angelina Margaret Swales, 31, were sentenced by Bristol Crown Court for the racially-aggravated public order offence.
Mark Bennett was handed a nine-month sentence for his role in the attack while his wife Alison was given a six-month suspended sentence.

Crehan was found dead at HMP Bristol
Swales was handed a four-month suspended sentence.
All four were all given a restraining order banning them from going within 100 metres of a mosque anywhere in England or Wales for the next 10 years.
Sentencing, Judge Julian Lambert, describe the incident as an “attack on England” and “the principles of freedom of religion”.
