Benedict Cumberbatch returns to TV screens tonight as Sherlock

The A-list actor, who returns to TV screens tonight (SUN) as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s super sleuth, stopped for a festive lunch with his wife at the Waterfront Cafe Bar in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire.

And the Hollywood celebrity even humbly posed for pictures with tea-room staff and customers alike.

Wearing a trademark scarf – just like his on-screen persona of Doyle’s super-smart detective – Cumberbatch was said to have had a “lovely lunch” and was a “very polite guy”.
