CALIFORNIA CRASH
In August 2021, an unsuspecting couple was shocked when they saw a plane headed straight for them on Interstate 5 in Del Mar.
“We were just driving down the freeway, just talking, when all of a sudden we just felt something huge hit us and glass shattered everywhere,” Sarah Tribett told FOX 5.
Sarah and her husband Dane were on their way to the beach to celebrate their anniversary when a single-engine Piper PA-32 descended upon them.
“All of sudden, we just see the plane in front of us,” Tribett said.
“We were scared out of our minds.”
The plane landed right on top of the couple, smashing glass and soaking the car with fuel.
Miraculously, the pilot and passenger on the aircraft were unhurt and occupants in nearby vehicles suffered minor injuries.
