Owners Elliott Richards, 46, and wife Beverley, 41, say he’ll add 2st.
Cop Elliott, of South Shields, Tyneside, said: “He’s big and friendly – probably a bit too friendly for his own good.
“He likes to sit on you because he thinks he’s a lap dog.
“He doesn’t realise his own size.
“He’s just started getting really stubborn.”
They welcomed the cuddle monster into the family in February last year after importing him from a Polish breeder.
The couple bought him for around £2,600.

A user commented on his TikTok video: “Had a Newfoundland she was the most gentle thing in the world!”
