David Luiz has completed a sensational return to Chelsea on a fee believed to be £32m.
The 29-year-old left Stamford Bridge for Paris Saint-Germain in 2014 but returns to west London for a second stint with the club.
The Brazilian joined PSG for around £50m but the Blues agreed a fee of around £32m earlier on Wednesday with the French giants.
Luiz arrived in London earlier on Wednesday to complete a medical with the club and joins Marcos Alonso, N’Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi as Antonio Conte’s signings at his first summer at the club.
The former Benfica defender has signed a three-year deal with the club with an option of an extra year.
Luiz was a popular figure with Chelsea fans and he says he’s delighted to be reunited with the club’s fanbase.
‘I’m delighted to return to Chelsea. We had a fantastic story during my first time at the club and I want to help the team and Antonio Conte achieve a lot of success,’ said Luiz.
‘I always had a wonderful relationship with the fans and I am looking forward to wearing the blue shirt at Stamford Bridge once again.’
