Manchester City have contested the FA’s violent conduct charge against striker Sergio Aguero.
The Argentina striker was charged following an incident in Sunday’s clash against West Ham United when the forward appeared to elbow Winston Reid.
Aguero is facing a three-match ban if he is found guilty, meaning he will miss City’s trip to Old Trafford on September 10th.
Pep Guardiola’s side were given an extended 24 hours to appeal the decision earlier on Thursday morning and they will now contest the FA’s charge with the hope of Aguero playing at the Theatre of Dreams.
