Mum writes hilariously honest reason for being late in school check-in book

She decided not to go with the easier route of ‘my car broke down’.

Nobody likes to run late on taking their kids to school – especially if it means having to face their teachers with an explanation for said lateness.

You could say your car broke down, your bus was late or you could blame it on your child entirely and tell their teacher that they refused to carry their own book bag that morning (or, you know, you could have a real reason).

Either way, each explanation is completely valid so why not just go with it?

Well, apparently, a get-out clause just wasn’t on one mother’s mind.

Instead, after arriving at her child’s school late, she decided to just be honest about it when filling in a ‘Reason for being tardy’ box in the school check-in book.
