Marcus Rashford‘s hat-trick for England Under-21s only underlined what we knew already – this kid is a bit special.
The Manchester United forward burst on the scene last season, scoring on his Reds debut, his Premier League and Europa debuts and since then has hit the net on his first starts for England seniors and under-21s.
With United facing City in an Old Trafford derby on Saturday, there is a clamour for the Wythenshawe hotshot to be in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.
He faces competition from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata and – if fit – Henrikh Mykhitaryan for a role in the attacking ranks.
Here’s what fans have been saying about the teenage sensation.
@ManUtdMEN @spbajko absolutely, top talent, if he hasn’t done enough already I don’t know what else he needs to do

Rashford is exerting huge pressure on Rooney and Martial. Kid is on fire.

How can you even consider starting Rooney on Saturday with this boy in such form? He will lift Martial and Lingard.
Rashford

Red leader
No doubt he must start ahead of rooney

Sometimes listening to Rashford in interviews it’s hard to imagine he’s still only 18. He expresses himself better than most seniors! Future England Captain?

@ManUtdMEN that’ll be his last U21 game, he should start on the right on sat instead of Mata
