Caballero
Let off the hook big time when passing straight to Borja in the box in the first half, only for the Swansea striker to fire over. Made up for that mistake with a save to deny Sigurdsson from close range 7
Zabaleta
Charged down the right in support of Navas all night. Playing every other game is working wonders for the veteran Argentine 6
Kompany
Some hearts in mouths as he walked straight down the tunnel at the end of the match. One sliding block on Routledge was the Kompany of old – but Guardiola will be hoping his captain hasn’t suffered another injury blow 6
Stones
At fault when Sigurdsson came so close to equalising for Swansea – but rescued by his Caballero. Otherwise another classy display 7
Navas charges down the wing
Clichy
His goal crowned a wonderful team move that silenced the Liberty and put City in total control. It was also the cherry on the cake of a tireless and tenacious performance 8
Fernando
Looks a different player under Guardiola. So confident as the midfield anchor – kept a much-changed engine room ticking over 8
Navas
His cut back for Garcia’s goal was typical of the winger. Struggled to get much joy in the first half, but much better after the break 7
Garcia
Part of a City midfield that were unusually guilty of losing possession too easily in the first half. Pressed high as Guardiola demands and even got on the score sheet 7
Guardiola named a much-changed team
Sane
His first start and there were bight signs, but struggled to fully express himself 6
Angelino
Played further forward than usual. Showed plenty of willing – but other than firing on effort narrowly wide early on, rarely opened Swansea up 5
Iheanacho
To his credit, he ran all day – but was given little service even if he kept Swansea’s centre back busy 6
Subs
De Bruyne (for Angelino 58) 6
Brahim (for Iheanacho 80) Too late to mark
Adarabioyo (for Garcia 90) Too late to mark
Not used
Gunn, Sagna, Fernandinho, Maffeo
