Man City fans were clearly disappointed after tonight’s 3-3 draw with Celtic – and Aleksandar Kolarov especially took a lot of the blame.
In what was a high-octane match at Celtic Park, the hosts led three times, but were pegged back three times by Pep Guardiola’s side.
Fernandinho, Raheem Sterling and Nolito were the three men on the score-sheet for City – but they couldn’t find a winner.
Kolarov was chosen ahead of John Stones to partner Nicolas Otamendi in central defense.
In what was, in general, a poor performance from the whole Manchester City back line, Kolarov came in for some particular stick from fans on social media after the game.
However, one player who escaped blame tonight was Raheem Sterling, who was widely considered as City’s best player by the supporters who watched the game.
Zabaleta, Clichy and Kolarov very poor tonight. 2 goals conceded by pure defensive errors. Gundogan and Fernandinho also average in midfield

Sterling brilliant again, constant threat. Kolarov reverted to type, Gundogan/Silva/Fernandinho poor. Good game, great atmosphere.

@BMRisingTV may I just point out how woeful Kolarov was at centre-back. Anyone agree?

Kolarov isn’t a good footballer

Pep got it wrong tonight with Kolarov. The Stones substitution showed it

I’d give Sterling 9/10.
Collectively the others wouldn’t add up to 9.#MCFC— Kevin Mulvaney (@Mulvaney1Kevin) September 28, 2016
Maybe Kevin De Bruyne was missed. #mcfc #Celtic
