Gordon Reid: Andy Murray and I can both finish 2016 as world No. 1

Both men have top spot in their sights.

Very few people in tennis can claim to have had as successful a year as Andy Murray in 2016 but wheelchair tennis star Gordon Reid has well and truly matched him throughout.

The pair both won Wimbledon on the same day, both reached finals of the Australian Open and French Open – with Reid taking the title down under – and both won gold in Rio.

But Reid has gone one step further than his fellow Scot. He’s reached world No. 1.
