A schoolgirl has been attacked in Green Park
Police have sealed off the Southampton park after the 13-year-old girl was kicked and and punched in the head during the horror attack at around 5.30pm this evening.
An eyewitness claims she heard the screaming girl pleading for her attackers to stop as she was dragged around by her hair in front of a baying crowd.
The schoolgirl was rushed to Southampton General hospital suffering with a serious head injury after she was punched and kicked on the ground in Green Park, Wimpson Lane.

The victim cowered on the floor as she desperately attempted to shield herself from the blows.
Reports say the crowd filming at the horrific attack on their mobile phones as the victim begged them to stop.
The vicious attack took place just yards away from where a talented artist was kicked to death by a group of yobs.
