The former Ukip leader lambasted the thousands who took part in rallies up and down the UK as people who believe democracy is “too awful”.

Many marched the street against the president’s temporary ban on citizens from certain countries entering the US.

But in light of the protests, Mr Farage jumped to defend the Republican during a heated outburst.

Perhaps we even need to get rid of the concept of democracy

He warned protests were likely to become the new normal as demonstrators “did not want to change” their view of the 45th US President.

Speaking on his LBC show, he likened the outcry to those unwilling to accept Britain’s historic vote to leave the European Union last year.

“None of this is going to change, none of this is going to improve,” he thundered.

“Those that are out in Whitehall tonight don’t want to change. They’re not interested. They all think 2016 was a mistake.”

The former Ukip leader compared Donald Trump protesters to those who thought Brexit was a “mistake”

Becoming more enraged, the MEP continued to unleash a damning assessment on the rallies that took place in over 30 towns and cities in the UK on Monday evening.

He said: “[They think] Brexit shouldn’t have happened – none of it shouldn’t have happened, we need to turn the clock back,” he fumed while sarcastically suggesting reversing the victories of Donald Trump and Brexit.

“Perhaps we even need to get rid of the concept of democracy – it’s too awful – we might get things we don’t like!”

President Trump signed an executive order banning immigration to the USA from seven ‘muslim’ countries. This led to protests across America and, now, the UK.

During his attack on the demonstrations, Mr Farage also took aim at the media and “looney lefties” for their “rank hypocrisy” in criticising the new executive order.

He alluded to countries that he claimed enforce travel bans based on religious prejudice – that he accused of being ignored by fellow politicians.

He said: “Did you know the following countries will not allow any Jewish-Israeli passport holders into their country: Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria and the Yemen?”

He continued: “So can we please ban everybody from those countries, any leader from those countries must never come to never come here.

”I am waiting for Jeremy Corbyn and Tim Farron and Caroline Lucas to stand up and make big speeches.

“I will be looking forward to the protests against this vile anti-Jewish prejudice and am I going to see it? Am I going to hear it? No, because it’s not Donald Trump and he’s the devil.”
