Hundreds of staff have been ordered to stay in Co-op Headquarters in the city centre after reports of a suspicious package within the building.
The NOMA building is on lockdown and police have taped off the area outside the headquarters in 1 Angel Square.
Fire services are currently investigating the package, according to a police spokesman.
A member of staff inside the building said they haven’t been given any information by emergency services but have been told they cannot leave.
Staff locked outside the building have gathered at the Angel pub opposite.
