Caroline bravely shared the photos to help others facing abuse. 
After her ex-boyfriend left her with a broken jaw, cracked eye socket and two black eyes, Caroline Way was so badly injured that she felt ‘unrecognisable’.
Her former partner Deke Orriss, 39, attacked her in a jealous rage when she wouldn’t let him see her phone, injuring her so badly that much of her face had to be rebuilt.
Caroline, 41, said he grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened to rape her before saying: ‘We are going upstairs to die now.’
In the aftermath of the attack, with her face so swollen she could barely open her eyes, she decided to take a selfie.
