‘Amber Rudd: Minister for Hindsight’
The government has ordered a major analysis of the role EU immigrants have in the UK including the risks of stemming migration.
Home Secretary Amber Rudd said it would help develop what kind of system there will be after Brexit, taking into account different needs across the country.
Which is fine, but people pointed out maybe it would have been helpful to know this kind of thing earlier, say, in time to do something about it.
The report will be finished just six months before the new immigration rules come into effect in 2019.
