A man who drove his ex to commit suicide has been convicted of manslaughter and jailed for 10 years in what is believed to be a legal first.
Nicholas Allen tried to contact Justene Reece 3,500 times in the six months after they broke up, bombarding her with voicemails, texts and Facebook messages.
The 46-year-old victim was found hanged at her home in Stafford, West Midlands in February with a note explaining she had ‘run out of fight’.
