Zoe Ball will now host the music and chat show on the channel
The early morning gap in the schedule will now be filled by Zoe Ball on Saturday and Zoe Ball on Sunday — an echo of her breakthrough role hosting Saturday morning TV show, Live and Kicking, in the Nineties.
She said: “I am super excited to return to weekend morning television (a few years on) with a glorious mix of all the things I love — live music from your favourite music stars, great chat with stars of television and big screen and new exciting authors.”
In November it emerged that Aled, 47, faced an allegation of inappropriate behaviour from an unnamed woman.
The married father-of-two, who shot to fame in the Eighties for his angelic singing, said he “deeply regretted” his behaviour.
He hasn’t appeared on the BBC TV since October, but has returned to hosting his show on BBC Radio Wales.
