Couple using toy lion as lawyer lose court case

A deeply religious Canadian couple has lost custody of their
child, after they used a toy lion to act as their legal
representation during the trial. The couple claimed that Jesus
Christ – speaking the word of God to them via the toy lion – was
their “lawyer, witness and judge”, and refused all offers of actual
legal representation.

Man bitten by decapitated snake

A Texas man is recovering in hospital after he was bitten by a
rattlesnake he had just decapitated. Local media reports that the
man was gardening when he discovered the snake and cut its head off
with a shovel. He was bitten when he picked up the snake’s head to
dispose of it.

Soldier takes armoured personnel carrier on two hour
joyride

A US soldier has been arrested after he stole an armoured
personnel carrier from a National Guard base in Virginia. The
unidentified man led police on a two-hour chase, before stranding
the vehicle on a median strip. Officers tased the soldier before
taking him into custody.
