A San Diego supermarket has begun blasting Barry Manilow songs
from loudspeakers outside the building in a bid to stop people
loitering or sleeping in the car park. The supermarket has also
tried playing loud classical music as well, in a bid to make
shoppers feel safer when coming to the store.
Japanese ‘hermit’ evicted from island
An 82-year-old Japanese man has been forced to leave a tiny
island where he had lived alone for almost 30 years. Masafumi
Nagasaki moved to the island in 1989 to escape the pace of city
life, and was frequently spotted wandering the island naked after a
typhoon blew away most of his possessions in the early 1990s.
Man sprinkles cocaine on police officer
A Nashville man has been arrested after he allegedly sprinkled
cocaine over a police officer’s head. Police spotted 20-year-old
Antonio Freeman rolling a cannabis cigarette on the street, and
approached him. In an attempt to destroy the drugs he was carrying,
he emptied a small bag of cocaine, some of which landed on the
officer.
