A “psychic” octopus that had correctly predicted the outcomes of
Japan’s World Cup group matches has reportedly been killed and sold
for food. The fisherman who caught the octopus, which was named
Rabiot, said he hopes that the next octopus he catches can also
predict the outcomes of World Cup matches.
Iranian general says Israel is ‘stealing rain’
An Iranian general has accused Israel and an unnamed
neighbouring country of cooperating to extract the moisture out of
clouds headed for Iran. Citing a four-year weather study, Brigadier
General Gholam Reza Jalal said: “We are faced with the cases of
cloud theft and snow theft”.
Diner bites off restaurant owner’s ear
The owner of a Michigan Chinese restaurant has had his ear
partially bitten off, after a diner was unsatisfied with her food.
Police say 24-year-old Jade Anderson threw her food on the floor,
and then attacked the restaurant owner’s wife. When he stepped in
to intervene, Anderson allegedly bite part of his ear off as she
was removed from the restaurant.
