A HIGH COURT Judge has ruled that parts of some documents in Prince Harry’s claim against the Home Office will remain secret.
Prince Harry is challenging the government’s decision to refuse police security during his visits from the US, saying he “does not feel safe”.
At a preliminary hearing last month, the High Court in London heard an application by both Prince Harry and the Home Office for some parts of the court documents in the case to be kept private.
The court was told that the Duke and Home Office agreed on what should be redacted from witness evidence.
In a judgement today, Mr Justice Swift said the bid to redact documents was allowed.
Speaking about the decision, Mr Justice Swift said some of the information relied on in the case involved the security arrangements for Prince Harry and other public figures in the UK.
“For obvious reasons information on such matters usually remains confidential,” he said.
