TWO travelers have shared what life on the road in their van has been like.

Although their lifestyle is a never-ending road trip, the couple revealed that they have to pay to take showers.

Daphne (@daphne.dwellers) shared the on-the-road video with her TikTok followers.

The content creator explained that it took years of saving and preparation to build the van of their dreams.

“We saved up money and put a solid down payment on an empty van, we’re still making monthly payments on it now but it’s much cheaper than rent,” she explained.

After acquiring the van, she and her partner spent a year and a half researching the best builds for their space.

“We sold or donated almost all of our belongings and lived in a nearly empty house as we finished the van build,” she said.

The two transitioned to remote work to support their new lifestyle and have since been on the road for six months since moving into their van full-time.

In another video, Daphne shared a day of their van life, where she cleaned and hiked at a trail.

After their travels, the two had to find a way to clean themselves: “It’s been a few days since we’ve showered so we found a campground nearby where we could use the paid showers,” she said.

Due to a lack of showers inside their van, the couple resorted to alternative methods.

“Usually we shower at Planet Fitness but there aren’t any in this area,” she explained.

People took to the comments to share their thoughts on their nomadic lifestyle.
