MARTIN Lewis’ Money Saving Expert has uncorked the best deals on supermarket fizz to see in the New Year.

Boozy revellers can bag a bottle of champers for a tenner and prosecco for under £5 as Brits prepare to welcome in 2024.

The cash-savvy pros explained a number of retailers will be selling heavily discounted bubbles as 2023 draws to a close.

Champagne prices tend to be lower at two specific times of year – at Christmas and New Year and around Valentine’s Day – so now is a great time to stock up.

Shoppers at Lidl can pick up a bottle of Montaudon Champagne Brut for £9.99 when you use a £5 off coupon via the store’s Lidl Plus app.

Meanwhile Sainsbury’s is selling Pol Guyot Selection Champagne for £10 with a Nectar Card.

Asda’s Louvel Fontaine champagne is priced at £11.99, and Tesco Club Card holders can bag Gartissier champagne for £12.

For prosecco lovers, Aldi‘s best value Costellore is scanning for just £4.75 a bottle.

Lidl also sells its Allini prosecco for £4.75 – including a £1 coupon via the app.

And Tesco is selling Bella Cucina prosecco for the same price when you use your Club Card.

The cheapest bottle at Morrisons is £4.99. And the Co-op’s Irresistible prosecco is £6.50 for members.

The Money Saving Expert team says: “We see the current cheapest prices at supermarkets, but it’s worth checking your local independent stores too.”
