A speeding driver, who was high on drugs and alcohol when he crashed and caused the deaths of two other people, has been jailed.

Jodan Hunt, 24, fled the scene in Eastbourne after his black Seat Leon smashed into a silver Volkswagen Polo, which then hit two other vehicles at the junctions of Bolsover Road, King Edward’s Parade and South Cliff.

Witnesses said he was going over 60mph in 30mph zone.

Richard Clements-Lewis, 46, who was driving the Polo and his passenger Maria Smith, 48, were both killed.
