Let’s face it, some of us might be needing a Bloody Mary on January 1 and beyond.
And now you can cure that hangover after a boozy festive month with the Crazy Pedro’s January pizza special.
For the drink notorious for being the ‘hair of the dog’ – and which is usually served in a glass – is now available in pizza form.
The pizza recipe is as close to the original beverage as possible and includes marinated shrimp (Vodka, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, cracked black pepper, celery salt), freshly grated horseradish, black olives, watercress and onion.
Pedro’s are positive they’re on to a winner with their latest creation, with both the pizza and the traditional Bloody Mary drink known for helping to sooth that sore head after a heavy night.
In true Bloody Mary fashion, diners will be asked how spicy they would like their pizza using a scale of one to 10. The chef will then add more Tabasco and Worcester sauce to finish depending on how game the diner is.

It is the latest in a long line of weird and wonderful special additions to the menu, which has also included the now infamous chips, cheese and gravy pizza and the one inspired by a Greggs pasty.
You can now find Crazy Pedro’s at two sites in the city centre: its original restaurant on Bridge Street, and also Short Street in the Northern Quarter.
Lyndon Higginson, the mastermind behind the monthly Pizza specials, said: “Its time to forget about 2016 and start 2017 how we mean to go on! Combining two of our favourite things to get us ready for another night out – hangover free!
“This is a beautiful pizza that I know our customers will absolutely love.”

The Bloody Mary January special is £3 per slice or £15 for a full pizza.
